Jazz Ensemble One – Eastview’s Jazz Ensemble One, directed by Matt Gullickson, is an advanced jazz big band open to students by audition. The group performs professional level big band standards as well as the latest in contemporary jazz. Jazz Ensemble One has received outstanding ensemble awards at many area jazz festivals including Eau Claire, LaCrosse, Green Bay and Rolling Meadows (IL). In addition to local concerts the group also participates annually in the South Suburban Conference Jazz Festival. Jazz One is the featured band in Eastview’s highly acclaimed musical extravaganza BRAVO. The show includes 30-40 musical selections featuring many Broadway favorites, classic hits, current jazz and pop music.

Jazz Ensemble Two – Eastview’s Jazz Ensemble Two, directed by Rich Berggren, is a developing jazz band open to students by audition. The group performs a variety of classic big band charts as well as contemporary jazz, latin and rock music. In addition to public concerts, Jazz Two participates in regional jazz festivals annually with students frequently earning awards as outstanding jazz soloists.

Jazz Ensemble Three – Eastivew’s Jazz Ensemble Three, directed by Ben Harloff, is designed to give students a beginning high school jazz big band experience. The group concentrates on developing jazz style and improvisation skills.

EV Combos - After Spring Break, EVCombo will form and rehearse 2-3 days a week in April.  The Combo will consist of a rhythm section and 2-6 of the EV Jazz Program's most accomplished saxophone and brass improvisers.  The group will represent EVHS Bands at the South Suburban Conference Jazz Festival.

The Eastview High School Jazz Ensemble program is open to all students who perform standard jazz instruments. Auditions are held in early November for placement in three different ensembles. The groups rehearse after school or evenings 2-3 times per week through the spring. The jazz ensembles perform at two public concerts and selected regional jazz festivals.
